Swim-Up

This meeting is the official last meeting for the Beavers and Cubs for the 2008-2009 Scout year. We will be meeting at Emily Murphy Park (11904 Emily Murphy Park Road NW) at the fire pit located East (turn right when you enter the park). We will be holding our Swim Up Ceremony and Volunteer Appreciation that evening. There will be plenty of food and fun for the whole family. The fun starts at 6:30 PM.

Royal Tyrrell Museum Sleep Over 2009

Welcome to the 24th Parkallen Royal Tyrrell Sleep Over 2009

First we all sat down to a delicious meal.

Everyone learned that snakes are nice animals and had a chance to pet or...

.... hold one.

For our last event we all had to pretend we were Dinosaurs to blend in with the other Dinosaurs.  We were on a Dinosaur Hunt!

Games Night

Our Beaver Year is almost at an end. Just two meetings to go. We will be meeting the Parkallen School at 6:30 PM and we will be having a games night.

Bottle Drive Results

Our Bottle Drive was great success. We were able with the help of all of our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts to turn a few bags of bottles and cans into this.



After about three hours of work we had collected all of our bottles and the final count showed that we actually collected close double what we collected back in October 2008. To show our gratitude we treated everyone who helped a free entry pass to the Scout Beach Bash at West Edmonton Mall Water Park that evening.



A big thank you to all of you who helped make this Bottle Drive one of our best.

April 18th Bottle Drive

Just a reminder to Parents and Beavers that the 24th Parkallen Scout Group Spring Bottle drive is this April 18th.  We will be meeting at the Parkallen Community Hall (located next to the Parkallen School) at 9:00 AM.

Meeting April 15th

It is nice to see the snow melt and see the green return. I hope everyone has had time to take advantage of the warm weather we had this past long weekend. As the snow melts and flows to the river it is getting to that time again for the older beavers to swim-up to Cubs. This week we will spend some time with the Cubs to see what they do and to see how much fun they have.

We will be meeting at the Parkallen School at 6:30 PM. We may go outside if the weather is warm, so please dress for the outdoors.

Welcome Back

Welcome back Beavers. Spring is here and I hope everyone has had a chance to take advantage of the good warm weather. The final month to Beavers is here and we have a lot of events planned. We will be meeting at the School at 6:30 PM so be ready for some fun and games.
